This event took place at Fairfield halls in Croydon on the 26th of October 2008. The purpose of this event was to award the youths of Croydon on their improvement and achievement in the following categories:
Academic and Sporting Achievement, Most Improved, Achieving Against the Odds, and Making a Difference.
These young kids were selected from schools, pupil referral units and youth organisations in and around the borough. Also on the day we had a youth awareness presentation on gun and knife crime given by Mothers Against Guns and ex-gang members, we also had special guests Dwayne Chambers, Arnold Oceng and Darnell from Big Brother 9.
Plus live pa’s by Chipmunk and Big Nastie.
All About Me is an early intervention & prevention project funded by the Safer London Foundation and the LDA and delivered by Foundation 4 Life & Eco-Actif Services CIC.
The project is aimed at young people between the ages of 11-19 yrs who are either offending or considered to be at risk of offending. It involves a 18 week group work programme prison visit & a peer mentoring scheme for those requiring extended support. The programme involves a series of interactive workshops incorporating guest speakers, DVD’s, team challenges, drama role-play, icebreakers, facilitated debates and much more including an award ceremony where certificates are handed out by celebrity guests.
There are 3 separate groups: Under 16’s, 16+, and the third being aimed at girls only; focused around gang affiliation and sexual exploitation.
Referrals primarily come from the boroughs of Sutton, Merton & Croydon working in partnership with the Sutton & Merton Youth Offending Team, Safer Neighbourhood Teams, Metropolitan police and community groups.

This is a promo for the All 'Bout Me Awards night which took place on March 26th 2009.
The night celebrates the achievements of all the young people who attended the All 'Bout Me workshops. A full length DVD featuring all of the acts will be available. View the poster.

The British DJ & MC Academy and Foundation 4 Life have teamed up to deliver music worksops for disaffected young people.
The F4L Urban Arts Project partner with Foundation 4 Life to deliver this exciting offering which is aimed at reingaging disaffected young people by combining behaviour modification therapy and creative arts education all based around urban youth culture. The project is delivered as a residential or as an intense daily programme designed for school holidays.
What does the project hope to achieve?
The project not only discovers and nutures talent, but challenges, inspires and motivates young people who are otherwise disaffected and disengaged. Improving their interpersonal skills, communication and team work.
Young people on the project undergo a Foundation 4 Life interactive behavioural modification group work programme and then choose one of 5 accredited music and arts educational courses, the choices are DJ’ing and MC’ing, Street Dancing and Modern Contemporary Dance or Drama and Radio Presenting. The project culminates with an event where the young people can showcase their achievements.
